heal the mind, nourish the BODY, renew the soul.
Sol, spanish for sun, and lotus, our beautiful padma, lotus flower, whose roots are embedded deep into the soil of the pond, she grows through the dark, cold, murky water to reach the surface. a warm embrace welcomes her as the sun shines upon her face. she opens her petals, blooming, awakening into life, from darkness into light.
“It’s not only about feeling better, it’s about getting better at feeling.” ~ Dr. gabor Maté

Yoga is when every cell of the body sings the song of the soul. If you want stillness, sit with your chaos, if you want bravery, befriend your fear. If you want strength, dance with your weakness. If you want freedom, transform darkness into light.

I’m Sasha, i’m so honored and happy you are here . . .
hello beautiful souls!
i’m a certified yoga instructor, mom, advocate, and nervous system healing practitioner! Yoga isn't about feeling good every moment of our day, It's about feeling what's true. Sometimes that truth is joy, sometimes it is anxiety, elation, frustration, or grief, and sometimes it is the silence in between. The practice is learning not to turn away. I'm the pathway to healing the mind, nourishing the body, and renewing the soul. My classes have 3 primary focuses: stillness + Fluid opening movement, Trauma healing through nervous system regulation + somatic therapeutic techniques, and nature therapy through earth + animal connection. As someone who has walked through darkness, and found the light again, my passion is to create nurturing, safe spaces filled with compassion & healing energy, where we allow a release of everything heavy we are carrying. We arrive on our mats to shed the layers that daily life can accumulate, and through this journey, We find a return back home to our true selves! We find peace and freedom within our souls.
“each breath is a conversation between your body and the present moment, each inhale roots you deeper, each exhale brings you back home. trauma may still live in your body, but healing begins the moment we listen to its story.”

-
learn your varying states: sympathetic, parasympathetic, ventral vagal and dorsal vagal. each are needed, but we shouldn’t live in only one.
-
what heals the body, heals the mind, together they heal the soul. discover how stillness, movement, and somatic techniques can help the entire connection heal.
nervous system regulation + the vagus nerve
our society rewards constant activity, high stress, and fast-paced lives. but we don’t have to force ourselves into a box we’ve outgrown. learn how to honor rest and shift out of a constant stressed/overwlemed state.
-
to self soothe, we first need to understand our own bodies, and which sympathetic states are activated.
-
our primary source of communication between the body and the brain lies here. 80% of these messages are from the body to the brain, meaning the body holds most of our information. stimulation to this nerve tells the brain that the body is safe.
